IBSCON 2026 – 16th Annual Conference of the Indian Brachytherapy Society, CMC Vellore

A memorable and deeply humbling day at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore.

It was a great privilege to be invited as the Chief Guest at IBSCON 2026, the 16th Annual Conference of the Indian Brachytherapy Society, and to deliver a lecture on “Brachytherapy in Ophthalmic Tumours.”

Visiting one of India’s most prestigious and respected institutions, CMC Vellore, was a truly special experience. I am deeply honoured to have been felicitated by the distinguished heads and faculty of the institution.

Brachytherapy has a unique and invaluable role in the management of several ophthalmic malignancies, offering the possibility of precise, highly localised treatment while preserving the eye and, whenever possible, vision. It has been a privilege to share my experience and learn alongside colleagues dedicated to advancing cancer care.

My sincere gratitude to the Indian Brachytherapy Society and the entire CMC Vellore team for this honour and for their warm hospitality.
