Pledge For No Tobacco – Oral Cancer Awareness Program

A recent research reveals that around 80 lakhs of people in Andhra Pradesh die prematurely due to tobacco related lethal diseases. “Oral Cancer Awareness Programme” was held at Apollo Cancer Institute, Hyderabad on 12 September 2008. Several voluntary organizations participated in the programme. There were awareness talks by Oncologists, several patients shared their experience and finally they all took a pledge that they will never ever chew or smoke tobacco and will further pass on this message across the society. Popular Cine Actor Mr. Manchu Vishnu Vardhan Babu was invited for the program as a Chief Guest.
